Grachthof Giethoorn is a family-run business, comprising a restaurant and boat rental. It's beautifully situated on the village canal, right in the heart of Giethoorn. Our goal is to ensure all our guests have a delicious meal or a wonderful day out. We achieve this by delivering high-quality service and products in a beautiful setting. Job description
As an all-around service employee, you'll provide service in general and specifically by responding to and managing guests' expectations and wishes throughout their visit. You'll take (table) reservations, greet guests upon arrival, guide and advise them on their menu choices, serve dishes and drinks, and settle accounts. Your manager is the Head of Service.
Your tasks
Preparations for service, such as setting tables for groups and parties.
Thanks to your service, our guests experience an optimal experience from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave the restaurant.
Cash register and accounting tasks are correct.
Table reservations are entered correctly and discussed with your manager as needed.
Tidying and cleaning tasks, such as ensuring the restaurant always looks neat.
What are we looking for?
You are hospitable and enjoy providing our guests with a pleasant experience.
Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus.
You are attentive to our guests and the restaurant's image.
Flexible and stress-resistant.
You contribute ideas and assist the head waiter.
Fluent Dutch and English.
